The Cope Family: Buying a Home From Overseas

Their son is serving overseas and closed on a brand-new home without ever seeing it in person. Mom and dad handled signing day in Kentucky while he joined every step by video.

The Cope family's son is in the military and stationed overseas, so his parents stepped in to help with the purchase. We did video showings and video calls back and forth for weeks, and mom and dad visited a few times along the way.

He started out wanting a lower-priced home. We showed him how buying new construction, with builder incentives and a much lower interest rate, kept the monthly cost close to what he expected. We found the right home with the builder, they built it for him, and he just closed.

On closing day his parents signed the paperwork here in Kentucky while he joined by phone and video for the whole process, including a live key reveal. He bought a home he never saw in person, and he will be here soon to walk through the door.

Congratulations to the Cope family. Helping military families buy from anywhere in the world is one of the best parts of what I do.
